We are pleased to welcome the 11th annual conference of The Global Research Network Belt - Road Initiative (GRN-BRI). The GRN-BRI having members from 60 institutes in 40 countries along the Belt and Road is an independent research network providing a global platform for researchers to share and collaborate on research projects in the field of logistics, transport, international trade, and supply chain https://grn-bri.github.io/. This yearly conference is one of the serial international conferences, industry seminars, and training workshops that disseminate the latest research and strategic insights to enhance policy-making and support economic development.
The GRN-BRI 2026 will be held at Jeonbuk National University in Jeonju City, Republic of Korea on November 26–28, 2026.
Known for its beautiful traditional architecture, the university is widely considered the most “Korean-style” campus in the country. It offers a unique setting that combines a modern research environment with Korea’s rich cultural heritage.
The global economy is currently undergoing a profound transformation, marked by a paradigm shift and the emergence of a new trade order amid growing uncertainty. This uncertainty is driven by deglobalization, accelerated digital ransformation, rising protectionism, heightened geopolitical tensions, and the increasing urgency of climate change. Against this backdrop, the conference aims to provide an interdisciplinary platform for in depth academic discussions on global supply chains and international trade, transportation and logistics systems and networks, technological change, carbon neutrality, and ESG management. Particular attention is given to how sustainability objectives and digital transformation are reshaping the structures and governance of the new trade order.
We invite researchers and practitioners to discuss how these forces govern and sustain the next generation of global supply chains.
The Conference Organizer is pleased to announce that the papers presented at the conference and selected by the Academic Committee will be recommended for submission to distinguished international journals, which are to be announced very soon.
